This a great four day trip in lovely southwestern Crete with stong emphasis on training.

The first two days will be heavily focused on improving your skills with emphasis on rescue and recovery techniques.

Starting point is the beautiful village of Sfakia. Sfakia (also known as Chora or Hora Sfakion) which is both quiet - busy with individual or independent tourists in the summer - in its role as home and fishing village to local people, and a port for those travelling by ferry to Agia Roumeli, Sougia, Paleochora and the unspoilt island of Gavdos.

Duriing the second day we are going to overningt at this magic place, Loutro.

Loutro is peaceful - it is small and feels like a village even if 95% of the people here in the summer are visitors. It takes less than five minutes to amble from one side of the bay from Sifis Hotel & Maestrali Bar (Vangelis'), past Daskalogiannis Hotel, the tavernas, mini-market, the Blue House, the pebble beach, Hotel Porto Loutro, Notos, "Fat Stav's", a couple more tavernas and then Keramos rooms and fish taverna.

Agia Roumeli, your third day's overnight place, is not as spectacular as Loutro but it is undoubtedly a divine sight for tired hikers stumbling out of Samaria Gorge. It is a pleasant stop over, though the syrrounding mountains can make it very hot and sultry.
