Crete – Heraklion – Evening of 11 August 2004
Women’s Soocer – Olympic event
Greece vs. USA score: 0-3
USA wins the first event of the 2004 Olympics held in Crete yesterday.
The new PanCretan stadium, by the sea in Heraklion, welcomed the crowd for this first event of the games in Crete.
A great success featured in the stadium which only recently had “the wrappers removed”. The stadium was actually completed in construction terms, well ahead of the start of the Athens 2004 Olympics.
