We had high hopes for sea plane services in many parts of Greece.

Since the demise of AirSeaLines last year we have only Argos Airways trying hard to provide a service from Volos to Thessaloniki and to Skiathos.

Greece is ripe for sea planes – come on down contenders !

But those creating sea plane services in Greece need a titanium clad business resolve to thrive in the country\’s anti-progress and oft corrupt socio-political climate. At least great resolve and a strong stomach to wade through the maze of incompetent administrative bodies sucha project involves.

Always helpful isn’t it?
The easier it is to get to and from an island, the better.

Now the Ionian islands in Greece are gradually getting the benefit of a new sea plane service – offering both scheduled service and sightseeing options.

Eventually services to Brindisi in Italy (allowing as it happens, a good link to easyJet\’s flight to London\’s Luton airport) will be added, together with some services to central Greece (lakes are the landing point!) and to the north at Thessaloniki.

We wish them success. Welcome!
