Eating

On arrival, except the warm welcome of Katerina and Pavlos, you will find a "welcome basket" - if you book through CreteTravel.com - with fresh fruit, wine, tea, coffee, honey and biscuits, plus basics such as washing up liquid, bin bags, mineral water and milk.

Each kitchen has a 4-ring ceramic top cooker with oven, microwave oven (only in Almyra residence), full-size fridge, dishwasher, toaster, filter coffee machine, kettle, lemon squeezer, porcelain plates, tea & coffee cups, glasses, cutlery etc. for 6 people plus a lot of essential items such as corkscrew, bread knife, frying pan, casseroles, baking trays etc. Kitchens have sea views & sliding door that opens to the deck & pool area.

You can dine at a long table seating 6 indoors, or at a big wooden table outdoors, by the pool. There are also pleasant seating areas in shaded corners of the garden with lounge sofas and a low-level coffee table for drinks.

There are small mini-markets in Almirida plus a bakery. In Kalives (3km) you’ll find a large INKA supermarket, a butcher and a greengrocer.

If you want Katerina can arrange for a chef to come and cook for you. Or, you're within walking distance of some nice restaurants. A few of them will also deliver meals to the villas on request. For more information about dining out further, each villa has an SK Place detailed guide, listing recommended places to eat  across the island.
