This is a perfect introduction on the culinary culture of Crete and Greece, in order to discover the street food culture of Chania's town and participate in a cooking workshop preparing traditional regional dishes all in one go!

You will meet up with our qualified, resident chef in the morning who will talk you through the basics and culture of Cretan Gastronomy as you walk along the local market and small specialty shops. You will discover the local signature products and will have the chance to sample some of the local delicacies.

You will then make your way to The Olive Farm to participate in a cooking workshop, a hands on informative cooking experience. You will prepare your own traditional dishes using only local and seasonal ingredients and enjoy a full meal under the Cretan olive trees.

Each workshop lasts for about 3-4 hours. The workshop takes place in an extrenal kitchen equiped with a gas fire and a wood oven or inside the tradittional cottage depending on the weather. Vegetables and other fresh produce are eithers produced at the Olive farm or are supplied from local producers. A full meal is included in every workshop. Wine and cheese platers with local cheese and other delicacies are also included.

By the end of the day you will have grasped the basics of the local gastronomy!

The course start in the morning at the city center of Chania and end at The Olive Farm, at the village of Litsarda in Apokoronas region, a 30 minute drive from Chania, Crete.
