Titled “Green Project in South America: A journey”, the exhibition includes photos which were taken in summer 2014 during an expedition of the members of the Green Project organization in the area.
The 17,135 km road-trip from Bogotá to the Land of Fire, lasted 52 days and included eight countries, namely Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Chile.
Thirteen Green Project travelers participated and today “narrate” the experience through their photos. They recorded 51 green points of interest (geo-diversity, bio-diversity, renewable energy sources), a number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and aspects of the local’s everyday lives.
The Green-Project is a non-profit organization, founded in 2008 by active citizens, scientists and artists, inspired by UNESCO’s “World Solar Program 1996-2005”. The organization has also conducted “green photo journeys” in Asia (2008), Africa (2010) and Europe (2012).
