Heraklion
There are two operating bus stations.
- Rethymno and Chania station is now included within bus station A below.
Bus station A (tel: 2810-246530) is located nearby Heraklion Port, Ikarou 9.
For: Chania, Rethymno, and connections to Imbros, Sfakia, Kastelli and other places in the west and south-west Crete, and destinations on the north coast east of Heraklion (including Hersonissos, Archanes, Sitia, Agios Nikolaos, Lassithi Plateau, Zaros, Agia Galini, Matala, Mires, Phaestos)
Next to it is the bus station for local, city and Knossos buses (tel: + 30 2810-220755, 226065).
- Bus station B (tel: + 30 2810-246530) at Hanioporta (part of the old city walls, at the beginning of 62 Martyrs street).
For all other destinations - this means Anogia, Rogdia, Asimi, and places in between.

Bus station - walk to the top of Halidon Street, across the square and turn right - it's about a hundred meters on the left.

In the context of upgrading its services and with a view to avoiding the inconvenience of the passenger public, KTEL Chania - Rethymnon SA, which has been harmonized with the pan-Hellenic unified seat reservation system promoted by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, informs the passenger public that:
Henceforth, and in order for the passenger to make the desired departure time, he must obtain his ticket in time, either online through E-Ktel.com or obtained from the company's offices in Chania and Rethymnon.
The company makes it clear that "each route from Rethymno to Chania and Heraklion or from Chania to Rethymno and Heraklion has 50 seats and when the occupancy of the bus reaches 100%, then the available seats are automatically closed" .
Regarding the passengers who wish to board the buses from the intermediate boarding points, which are the KTEL stops along the Northern Road Axis of Crete and the Provincial Road Network (e.g. Skepasti stop or Georgioupoli stop etc. . . ).
The telephone numbers per prefecture, which participants can call (from intermediate stops) to reserve their tickets, are as follows:

It is noted that the passengers of the intermediate stops:
from Chania to Rethymno & Heraklion, they can call the telephone reservations of Chania (28210 93306),

from Heraklion to Rethymno & Chania, they can call the Heraklion telephone reservations (2810 246530).
