We had a great time! We were picked up on time, the bus ride was great and our guide was very professional and informative. We had read that the hike can be very busy, but did not expect just how busy it would get. It was even difficult to take photos along the way, as people would pile up behind us. We have returned earlier last month from a fabulous stay at Villa Kerasia Inn.
We are provisionally looking forward to next year, going back to see Babis at the Villa Kerasia Inn and maybe extending it with a stay at Porto Loutro.

It is nice to hear from you. We are all back home in the US and getting back into our real lives. But we have fantastic memories of our visit to Crete, Greece and in particular, our hike of the Samaria Gorge!
Maria was a great guide and kept a nice pace. We learned to use the walking sticks and that was very useful as the stones can be slippery and they helped to prevent a fall.
There is water along the trail but one of the final descents involves a 3 km section...

It was a long and beautiful day.
Everything was fine and just like I expected.
Our guide with the Land Rover was the perfect guide, told us many interesting things and make us laugh.
We use the opportunity to take a look at the Chania Old Town. It is a very good place too and I suppose that it will be our next choice when we come back.
We are leaving today and I want to thank you for your cooperation....
