The 2022 harvest at Manousakis Winery was one of the best harvests in recent years.

The quality of the grapes both in terms of ripening and characteristics far exceeded the winery's expectations.

Last winter was mild with a normal amount of rainfall and the Spring was characterized by normal temperatures but low rainfall, while the summer progressed without many heat waves on this side of the island and more balanced temperatures. This allowed for the smooth progress of vineyard growth and the ripening of the grapes.

These fair weather conditions helped to achieve the yields Manousakis Winery was looking for.

The rigorous practices for organic viticulture helped the winery defend its vineyards against some of the most damaging vine diseases such as powdery mildew, downy mildew, and botrytis, as well as enemy insects such as eudemida and pseudococcus. Thus, due to proper and timely management by the new viticulturist, the winery managed to have very good yields and quality grapes.

During the harvest, the temperatures did not fluctuate greatly, and with the absence of prolonged heat waves, the grape ripening happened normally.

So Manousakis Winery is looking forward to seeing the results of its work, hoping that they will reflect the quality of this interesting vintage.

Come and enjoy a tour and wine tasting at one of Greece’s top bio wineries!
