Porto Loutro on the beach welcomes its valued guests every year on the 1st of April.
So, Alison, the owner, has been decided that from the 1st 30th April, she will do a special rate for you adventurous people who like to walk and see the spring flowers for 50 euro (normally 75€) per room per night, with breakfast except for the 3 days at Greek Easter Friday Saturday and Sunday if it falls in April, those 3 days will be 60€ per night. 2017 Catholic Easter and Orthodox Easter fall on the same day 16th April.
It is not the month or the holiday for everyone it is very quiet, peaceful and not everything and everyone is up and running, people are painting, cleaning and generally getting things ready for the season after a 5 month winter break it is rather like a stage set getting ready for a play our play is called "the re-birth of Loutro Village".
On the 1st April Porto Loutro is painted , cleaned, staffed and ready to go, so many times we sit in the bar with a few guest and say how beautiful it is in April and how sad it is that people don’t know how nice it can be in April The walking is great because it isn’t that hot (the weather in April is unpredictable sometimes there are showers but if you bring a lightweight water proof jacket you will be fine. But on the other hand it could be hot and sunny many times people are just sunbathing. You do not need to bring a huge suitcase of clothes. Basically hand luggage just a warm fleece for the evenings, jeans, (thin waterproof for walking like a Pac-a-Mac, should it rain) boots or trainers t- shirts, swimming things.
Hotel provides beach towel and hairdryers, constant hot water, shower gel etc, air-con cooling and heating, feather duvets on the bed so you can sleep nice and cosy.
WiFi Free (No laptops or mobile phones to used in the bar !!!!)
There will be at least 2 tavernas open from the 1st and a week before Greek Easter 16th most of the village will be up and running as usual.
