Ligres Beach is one of my favourite beaches in Crete!
It is a beautiful, large, long, remote beach with very little access or buildings.
Ligres is an amazing beach with coarse sand and fantastic deep sea southern of Rethimno, nearby another great beach this from Triopetra.
Fortunately, the relatively tough access has fortunately kept the development of tourism away, making it one of the nicest, tranquil and most secluded beaches on the island.
The beach is not organized, but there are a few taverns and a rooms on the west part of the beach and you will need a car to access it.
