A superb sandy beach with clean, deep waters that accommodates every taste, 51km south of Rethymno and 7km south of the village Kerames, at the foot of the imposing mount of Siderotas. It is actually the north part of the beachfront called Akoumiani Gialia, starting from Mellissa cape to the south.
Ligres is one of the most beautiful beaches of south Rethimno, Crete, and is ideal for all those who look for isolation, crystal clear waters, space, but also for families who want to be near facilities.
The asphalt road that leads to Ligres stops at a tavern - guest house, but if you walk a bit further away you will find more isolated spots and small rocky coves, preferred by nudists and campers too.
West of the beach (towards Agia Foteini) you will find a small waterfall.
