Don't miss it once you are in Loutro Village

Kalimera Crete Traveller,

I hope you are doing great.

During your next stay in Loutro Village on Janurary 17th, don't miss to visit the church of Agios Antonios.

A wonderful custom is preserved that traces its origins back to Minoan times.

Devotees offer to the Saints foods made of dough that represent human limbs or even whole people asking for divine intervention to overcome an illness or to remain healthy.

The anthropomorphic tamas of the Sfakian people bear a striking resemblance to the clay tamas that the Minoan ancestors offered to their gods.
