Almost still summer here in lovely Crete but the mornings are now cooler, the days are getting shorter and we’ve pulled on the season’s first sweater.

Can we really wait until summer 2024 for the warmth and spirit of sunny days?

Fear not, we have options…  

First, make summer last: Crete is so beautiful, temperate and crowd-free in October (autumn school holidays on the beach?) and sometimes even into November, so delay winter by another month.

Second, make summer start earlier and come in April for Easter, with its mild temperatures, flowers in bloom and lack of crowds.

That’s why we love the Crete! 

 it’s summer here for most of the year.
