... and thus the story begins! 

With our bikes, we follow the footsteps of a young woman - Soulouksina and a shepherd who lived a century ago in this beautiful village of Episkopi in Pediada Valley. 

Through unknown stories, we travel back in time and learn the wise agricultural and social practices the old Cretans used while living in harmony with the environment. 

We meet the smiling and kind villagers, wander through picturesque alleys, and enjoy authentic daily routines.

During our afternoon Soulouksina route we visit old churches, a monastery, and nearby villages calming body and mind amid uphills and downhills of the amazing Cretan landscape. 

We end up in a traditional "Kafeneio" in the village where we all together prepare a light meal before sunset.

Savoring the flavors of the land and the company of newfound friends, we toast to the spirit of Soulouksina and the enduring legacy of her love story. In her tale, we find not only a glimpse into the past but also a timeless reminder of the importance of living in harmony with nature and embracing the principles of sustainability and stewardship.

As twilight descends upon Episkopi, we bid farewell to this enchanting journey, our hearts brimming with gratitude for the memories shared and the connections forged. And as we depart, we carry with us the echoes of Soulouksina’s world, a world where love, resilience, and the beauty of Crete endure for eternity.

Our route covers approximately 27km in the heart of Pediada province and is easy for cyclists of all levels, thanks to the professional equipment provided with the Specialized Como electric e-bike.

Manolis your guide, is a passionate cyclist, who loves cycling in lovely Crete ( especially around his village Episkopi) discovering unknown routes and loving the beauty of nature in the province of Pediada. His goal is to offer his guests in his village the warmth and authenticity of the soul of the people, the beauty of the landscape, the sweet fatigue of the bicycle, and the unique flavors of Cretan cuisine.
