House Liberty is a newly constructed residence ideal for 2-4 people (it is available a baby cot and an extra bed too) with a small private pool of 25 m3 and it consists of two bedrooms (double and twin), one bathroom with bathtub and washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all modern amenities, dish-washer too. In the living room, there is traditional hand made furniture and a cable/satellite T.V. In the first bedroom there is a comfortable double bed with 2 bedside tables and a wardrobe. In the second bedroom, there are 2 single beds with 2 bedside tables, a wardrobe, and a desk. Both bedrooms have a wooden floor.
There is a parking area on-premises, a garden with different kinds of local herbs, and a spacious outdoor room with BBQ and a wood oven made from firebricks. The big terrace offers stunning sea and mountain views, sunbeds and umbrellas are available.
A quiet place to enjoy the personal care of a wonderful family, which has her own traditional farm nearby ( horses, goats, sheep, rabbits, cats, and dogs) and organic crops trees, and vineyards. Upon request, you can have a ride on horseback or a visit to the farm, vineyards, organic olive groves and you will be able to taste some of their excellent traditional products (wine, raki, olive oil, milk, eggs, cheese). The owners Eleftheria and Manolis do have two children, a typical traditional Cretan family.
Here you will discover some of the best beaches in Crete, the most beautiful landscapes along with authentic cultural experiences, expand your knowledge of local gastronomy, get acquainted with the society, the culture, and the traditional activities of the locals.
The LIberty Residence has located just a short walk (200m) from the village of Drimiskos, where you can find a traditional cafe-taverna under a century-old plane-tree or platanos, a place to enjoy the Cretan - traditional cuisine. Also, there is a second cafe -taverna near the church. In nearby Spili Village (7km) you will find more restaurants, cafes, shops, and some other facilities.
Just 10-25 minutes by car, you can find some of the best beaches of Crete Ligres, Triopetra, Preveli, Amoudi, Agia Fotini, and Agios Pavlos. In addition in less than an hour's drive from the cosmopolitan and picturesque town of Rethymno.
The remote location means you'll need a car to explore this beautiful area of Crete and for shopping.
PS. The house is situated on a hill next to Villa Petrinos Milos (same owners). The two houses are connected by a beautiful stone-paved path and stone steps. Thus, the two houses for groups make a perfect investment.

Don't forget to stock up as you pass through Spilli Village. There is a small mini-market at Kerames Village (2.5km) too.

Agia Fotini Taverna is just a 5 minutes drive. Agia Fotini is a traditional taverna popular with Cretans who travel from miles around to enjoy fresh food in an idyllic location and probably is going to remind you of the Crete in the 60s and 70s. It specializes in fresh fish caught by local fisherman – or Stavros himself when he gets the time to go out in his boat.
Or maybe something more traditional and the unique atmosphere of a small village, then drive up to Drimiskos Village for local rabbit and delicious cheese pies.
There are two tavernas above Ligres Beach both family-run and both have been quite popular with previous guests.
Further at Triopetra, the other two tavernas offer free sunbeds if you use their tavernas.
Kids
Kids are welcome at House Liberty.
House consists of 3 bedrooms (accommodates up to 4 people) and is ideal for families with up to 2-3 children.

- Discover the small, authentic small villages around and just feel another way of life
- A short walk to the east brings you to the long sandy beach of Ligres and Triopetra, or three rocks, while to the west you can reach the palm beach of Moni Preveli and the ancient monastery of Preveli within a couple of hours on foot – or less than 20 minutes by car and of course the beach of Agios Pavlos to the east.
- Visit the famous springs of Spili, just 30 minutes away, and the fishing harbor of Agia Galini (34 km).
- Hike the little-known but impressive gorge of Agios Antonios.
- The Minoan sites of Phaistos (52 km) and its recently discovered port at Komos, and the Roman city of Gortys are also within easy reach.
- A short drive away, the Amari valley is a wonderful place to visit in the heat of the summer, where the traditional mountain villages with their plane trees, cool springs and kafenions are still untouched by tourism.
- In spring the whole area is rich in wildflowers and there are marvelous walks in the mountains and along the sea from Agia Fotini to Moni Preveli and to Agios Pavlos and through traditional villages.
- On the hill near the tavern of Agia Fotini, you can still see the ruins of the ancient town Kionia, which flourished in the prominent years. Today, the ruins of the town cover an area of more than 150 meters (from east to west) and 100 meters (from north to south), while the other half of town is situated below the sea surface, in front of the tavern.
- If you do start observing the surrounding area, you will notice traces of buildings and terraces that indicate the existence of Kionia. It is believed that when the town began to sink in water, inhabitants were forced to abandon it and move on higher areas, where the villages Kerames and Agallianos are now located.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations over 21 days before the arrival date are 100% refunded.
Cancellations less than 21 days before the arrival date are charged at one (1) day’s rate (see above).
Cancellations less than 14 days of the arrival date are charged at 50% of the total reservation cost.
If you fail to check-in, 100% of the total cost remains due.
Unfortunately, there are no refunds for early departures.

How To Get There
House Liberty is located in a unique location at southern Rethimno in Crete and nearby the great Preveli Beach and a few others, as Triopetra, Ligres, Agia Fotini, Ammoudi.
- By Air
From April through October there are direct charter flights to Chania Airport which is the closest one (105km) and, more frequently, to the capital Heraklion Airport(123km). Tickets can be bought in advance for almost all flights via our partner website.
- By Sea
"The journey is the thing". A superb way of enjoying the journey to Crete is to fly to Athens and take the ferry from Piraeus (Pireas) - the port serving Athens. A still-romantic way to travel by the overnight ferry from Piraeus to Souda-Chania Port (90km).
